Meet Maggie!

MB&COMPANY curates celebrations that are deeply authentic and a unique experience for guests. I believe in working with clients to create a celebration that is a genuine reflection of them. No tradition is mandatory, no person has to be invited, and no trend has to be followed. As I love to say, “you do you”!  MB&COMPANY is all about consciously planning your event.

With over ten years in the event industry, and four years running MB&COMPANY I have seen it all: from a wedding party stuck in a broken elevator to a double booked venue. Creative problem solving is where I shine – I have a built-in calmness under pressure that has served my clients for many years. But don’t just take it from me; see some love notes from past clients and vendors.

I believe deeply in making an impact in the community.  I am on the Board of Directors for Good Women Dance Collective, and a member of NAIT's Program Advisory Council for their Event Management program. MB&COMPANY has a community investment program that launched in 2017, to find out more, read below.

I am deeply rooted in Edmonton’s arts community and love making connections between Edmonton’s artists and the events and weddings I plan. Looking for live printmaking, an indie band, improvisers or specialty made unique favours for your event? I can help with that!

Community

Any couple that book with MB&COMPANY for Full Wedding Planning or Wedding Day Management will have ten percent of their fee donated to Camp fYrefly.

Planning a wedding is about celebration and love. We have found the perfect way to extend that love to our greater community by partnering with a program that celebrates and supports LGBTQ2S+ youth. Camp fYrefly’s mission and program aligns seamlessly with MB&COMPANY’s desire to create an inclusive wedding industry in Edmonton, Alberta and beyond.

“Camp fYrefly is delighted to have entered into this partnership with MB&COMPANY. While we nurture future LGBTQ2S+ leaders, Maggie and her company live the change we want to see today.  We see this in her company's values, and in the way she leads by example in our community.  As an ally, Maggie enacted her FABULOUS network to come up with just endless dresses and bling for our campers at this year's camp – we even started calling her a ‘Drag Queen's Fairy Godmother’" – Jennifer Alabiso, iSMSS and Camp fYrefly

Moving forward with this partnership, I am hopeful for the future values of our wedding industry. I am delighted that this initiative will not only help to instigate inclusivity, but will also help foster and build confidence in our next generation.
